Brayton Park A little bit further up the dirt road from Bovington 1, Bovington 2 is very much the same in character apart from being a bit bigger at about 5 acres. It has about the same level of difficulty but the fish do seem to be bigger in this lake so I would say that it is home to more 20lb fish and a couple more 30’s, and one definite 40 pounder. Also known as the Silver Fish Lakes at Birch House Lakes, Mallard and Teal tend to be regarded as one water as they are both canal-style venues ideally suited for pole fishing. However, the larger of the two – the three canal 55-peg Mallard Lake – has a large rectangular bay at one end which also makes it suitable for either waggler, swimfeeder or straightforward ledger fishing. Teal has a total of 21 pegs.This area surrounding this lake has earned great reputation worldwide because of its beautiful landscapes. Rookery waters has 7 coarse fishing lakes which will suit carp anglers and pleasure anglers all set within the secluded Cambridgeshire countryside.
