My own impressions on the 2021 Causeway Collection? These are two exceptional Cask Strength Single Malt Irish Whiskeys. Both the 2011 Sauternes Cask and the 1995 Marsala Casks are sensational whiskeys that stand with the best of Irish single malts, giants in their own right. We are delighted to bring these exclusive releases to our fans across the island of Ireland.” The expression is bottled at cask strength (52.1% ABV) and is non-chill-filtered. The whiskey offers notes of crème brûlée, cinnamon spice and tropical fruits. This year’s collection features twelve new releases to be launched worldwide across 8 markets, and includes two bottlings exclusively released for the island of Ireland, the 2011 Sauternes Cask, a first for Bushmills Irish Whiskey, and a 1995 Marsala Cask aged in rare Marsala casks for an unprecedented 15 years.

The new bottles are broad shouldered and angular, with embossing on the side to honour the brand’s 1608 heritage and pot still. The sensational whiskeys in the Causeway Collection deliver bold, untold waves of flavour that pay homage to the heritage and natural landscape of Bushmills. In addition, the Feuillette cask used for this special release is the smallest Helen Mulholland has ever worked with, delivering a great intensity of flavour, and a concentrated palate with notes of smooth plum and cherry fruits. The 2023 Causeway Collection features nine limited edition, cask-finished whiskeys, released across six global markets as Bushmills continue to drive innovation and push boundaries in their relentless pursuit of perfection.
